Which earphone better ??

Hi... Westone UM 1 or Shure E2G
Tried both this afternoon...... like the bass on E2G cause i listen to rock and pop mostly. But the UM 1 is quite good in vocal and music........ both are about the same price at $159 (UM1) & $169 (E2G)....... Can't make up my mind. The saleman at the shop recommand the UM 1 for its better sound.
So how My buget is well below $200. Still got PC to upgrade end of next mth. So can't spend like no tomorr...... any suggestion -
perhaps u may wanna trust that salesman since he din insist you to buy the more exp one.

The one that is "better" is the one you like and can afford.
You have to listen and decide which earphone produces the tones you like. -

Hahaha.... unless my friend is paying for me, he/she perfer which one is not important. Just that at those prices of $100++, don't want to buy 'wrong' one then regret for a few month........ do anyone out here own any of these model. i wouldn't even spend S$50/- on a earphone if i am makin it portable and using it outdoors. if i am keeping the earphone for home use mayb i will consider any altec lansing or sennheiser onnes. with a S$100/- or so can get quite good ones oredi. also different mp3 players tends to produce different sounds with different brands of earphones. look for a earphone reputated with longer lifespan and higher reliability also.

Got it at $159...... add $6.60 for a pair of soft rubber ear-plug (Shure type). 1 year 1 to 1 exchange...... not a bad deal.
The E2G i also try, doesn't sound as clear when playing on my Creative Zen MP3 player....... the bass was very good playing from the amp in the shop. But playing on MP3 player, the bass is the same as the Westone UM1.
So, decided to get UM1 for its better & clearer sound.
