My computer is DIY tat type, now when on computer>got the "Not Genuine" windows>anywhere to download the wat cd-key?
My norton anti-v also gonna expire le.dunno y cannot undate(also fake de?)
as above>possible to make it not expire>i dunno wats the exact word >but to continue use it.
My mouse the cursor> sometimes will auto move>mouse stationary but the cursor move/disappear.Hv bought 4 mouse for tis problem.1st 2 was those cheap cheap $10+ mouse. then a $30 logitac also same, now use a a $20+ mocrisoft mouse but problem starting to come back.Is mouse connector socket got problem or the mainboard got problem.
The 1st 2 question Pls dun ask me go buy real version, no budget.

2nd qns: ditch norton and use AVG + Zonealarm. they're free and compares well to norton
3rd qns: Optical mouse is liddat one. use a optical mousepad to reduce chances of jumping mouse -

1.if i get the so call validate number after i goggle it>how am i gonna make it validate?since is a pop up from the microsoft> click it then go to the microsoft website.rite?there can enter the number? or once i download liao, everything will auto?
2.i use AVG also, but still everytime scan nothing,jus lik norton. in reply to tis mes, i using the pandasoft scan (after i see at another post) cos Ie keep blank, then not responding,"sent error & dun sent" ....tis pandasoft found 16 spyware, 3 hacking tool/rootkit, 1 virus & 1 specious file. 
WTH...come from where?Does tat mean my existing firewall(think come wid singnet) is rubbish?

Question 1: If you have upgraded your PC quite a number of times, and your XP CD is a legal one, you have to call up Microsoft. They will give you a new CD key to activate Windows. This "illegal" Windows hit a few legal PCs because they do upgrading and Microsoft thought they are fake copies of Windows.
Question 2: Once your antivirus expires, there's no way you can update it without paying for it again. Either you get a free one (AVG or avast!) or you pay for it again. Symantec's site would show you how.
Question 3: As per answered by abao. You can always change back to the ball mouse or get an optical mouse pad or use an exercise book if don't want to buy. Exercise book works very well and it's free of charge if you have lots of them at home.
Note: I assumed that all the copies of software you have are legal before this "illegal" prompt by Microsoft and Symantec. If they aren't, it won't work. -

Question 2: Panda might be throwing up false positives. Try at an antivirus site (Trend Micro or Kaspersky). Use their free online scans and see if such files and viruses get pick up again.
Question 3: It will suit you fine, and best of all, it's free. Just stick it to the computer table so the paper won't move about will do. -

if dun hv think hv to go sls buy some good anti-everything cd le.If i gonna buy, which will be a best buy as in removal of all spy/ada/trojon/etc & at a resonable $$>best if its low.
Err..am i right to say all watever anti virus software still cannot keep out all virus,spyware right?jus to minimize/lesser them?as "they" too get updates? -

U dun want to pay?then download those free ones like AVG or download those trial versions and crack them...but with the crack U risk getting infected and to me it doesnt quite make sense to do it...
All antivirus software requires regular updates in order to be efficient because new threats like virus,spywares,etc come out every day...no way for the software to be up to date without regular updates.
Even Windows require updates.
12+ bucks for panda looks OK to me lor...I remember I got a 1 year subscription to norton for like USD10(online renewal).Pc-Cillin 2007 retail box is at S$67...so 12+bucks is low liao...
And for those who really cant stand the validation thingy from microsoft...ask urself what are U using the system for...it might be better to use Windows 98SE,Windows 2000 or even Windows NT4.0 instead of XP and above to run ur system. -

Fully functional for 30 days. After this, it will become a limited version. You can still scan and remove for spywares/adwares, but no real-time protection or auto-updating.
Spybot Search & Destroy Free and has real-time protection, but you will have problems configuring it. The words get cut off, so it's very hard to tell. The best is to disable their real-time protection.
Lavasoft Ad-Aware No real-time protection unless you buy their product.
a-squared Free No real-time protection too, but it's updated daily, detection rate is good and is updated daily. -
