512mb is considered obsolete, costs 20-odd, and in itself doesn't really require a trip all the way to expo.

Was at the unopened Courts Megastore just beside Ikea at 930am this morning. Passed by Ikea and saw people already leaving Ikea lugging with them bags of their Ikea conquest. So early hahah!!!! Finished my meeting at Courts around 11, so tot drop by to Ikea but wah lau, even from carpark still have to join the queue to get into Ikea....I drop the idea and went back office... the crowd is scary...i foresee a serious jam this weekend and when COURTS and GIANT finally opened, that area will be more crowded than a bus passing by Little India on a Sunday evening.

Personally would prefer the Sandisk Sansa e-series mp3 players... they sound as good, feels brick sturdy.. and they dun coz similar money to creative for same capacities.
Cant help u on the Ext HDDs but will try to bio for u.. should be going later

Try looking up the manufacturer's site. Like if you use HP, go HP website and find that model of laptop. The specs should be there. Or if you have your manual, the manual will state what type of RAM it's using. Your manual will also state how much RAM it can hold. CPU-Z doesn't check that.
