ok so now im trying to install maxonline

  and it says my cable modem won't connect to my computer. it says to check if i had plugged my wires and i did. i called 1633 and no one answered. what do i do

  funny someone jux asked me this question some days ago..
  
  cold boot ur cable modem. as in, off its power and on it again. if u wan, reboot ur comp too.

  Did you plug in correctly?
  
  1 from modem to PC, the other from modem to telephone.
  
  Next, does the modem comes with any CD?
  
  If yes, follow the installation guide in the CD to set up the modem.
  
  If there's no CD, do this:
  
  Start > Control Panel > Network Connections.
  
  Do you see any connections there?
  
  If no, go back to Control Panel again. Click on Network Connections. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  I restarted my pc and it didnt work.
  
  mine came with a cd and i followed everything it says. mine is like modem to pc and modem to cable, and modem to power supply.

  Also take note you restart the power from the main power circuit , not the button on the cable modem.

  motorola SB5101 surfboard cable modem
  
  in network connections theres both speedstream (singnet) and surfboard (starhub) connected.

  did u use usb cable to connect modem to pc? or u use the network card to connect?q

  yes i disabled singnet but i reconnected it again to come here. im using usb for starhub.

  Why you have 2 ISPs?
  
  It's likely that you are facing some conflict with the two ISPs. Both use DHCP to assign IP addresses... if you face problems, it's likely that IP address is not being assigned to you properly.

  ok, it says to install the usb i need to see a found new hardware wizard, but it only appears as a bubble quote on the bottom right and when i click on it it disappears.

  autoplay the CD. should have a usb driver option
