Starhub maxonline speed increases, in a different manner.

LOL so far I have not read any thing like this on any forum.
Customers using Starhub maxonline will be interested to hear this piece of news. There is a known and well-documented method of uncapping cable modems to unlift the speed restrictions imposed by Starhub, in fact, any service provider which uses cable modems seems vulnerable to this method.
The main targets are Motorola SURFBoard Cable Modems.
Have you ever wondered how did they achieve the different speed limits for different plans, MOL 4000, 6000, MOL Ultimate?
Feel free to discuss anything about how the heck this thing works. I haven't tried it out myself, just reading and studying how they do it.

Yes, but what I'm talking about here has nothing to do with Starhub's announcements of speed increases.
I'm talking about uncapping cable modems, a special method not many people know about or tried before.
The title of this thread should be clear enough.
Everyone knows about Starhub's plan to increase speeds, but what's being discussed here is about how to unlift speed restrictions on cable modems to enable speeds beyond Starhub's specifications.
I just guess that with the right tools and equipment, people can achieve Maxonline Ultimate speeds even if they are not using Maxonline Ultimate, since the speeds of the Ultimate plan seem to be the maximum. -

However, the service provider has legal rights to terminate the service on grounds that they find that you are not using the equipment properly.
It depends. The call is on the judge. Since you're not really entitled to the bandwidth.

In fact, the service providers has the power to restrict maximum bandwidth on ips and restrict dynamic ips for different bandwidth users.
So, its really up to the service provider to contain abusers.
They can even block many websites using excuses that they are harmful and you can't do a sh!t to them. -
me thinks they devide bandwidth according to your Modem's MAC address which u use to connect to the tv cable.
so if you change your modem, you need to call them up and tell them that u changed your modem so they can update their database..they may look at yur subcription before updating the database which says give,for example,4000kbps to mac id XXXXXX if you dont change, if will be maxonline flexisurf by defualt. -
