Computer shut down after USB port connected to phone

I'm using N6280. I encounter this problem that whenever I connect my phone with a USB connecter to the USB port, my computer will auto shut down after a few moments later. It's like the power switch is suddenly off. Now I can't transfer songs to my phone. Any solutions to this?

can u tell me like beside connection USB, wat makes the com shut down also?

Hmm..... could be a power surge on the usb port try plugging into other usb port,does the same situation occur?try plugging in other devices such as thumbdrive in the same usb port you use does the com shut down?

Are you using nokia pc suite? If you're not using it, I highly recommend you to.

Looks like ur pc's psu not enough power to power up another USB connection. Wats ur psu rating?

Your 6280 comes with the cd, that is unless you got it 2nd hand, stole it, or found it on the bus. But you can get it off the nokia website. Or do you need someone to tell you where to get it off the nokia website?Originally posted by coldzero:Does the software comes with the phone? -

Since his has no warning, I doubt it has something to do with power surging. -

Do you have other USB ports? Try plugging into them. I don't know what's causing the auto shut downs. Will need some time to find out. Try plugging into another port in the meantime.
