CPU heat problem.....

  Hi..... anyone knows what's the normal temp for a Core 2 Duo CPU should be..... Was just send a 85MB file to some one and my CPU core temp shot from 37deg to 41deg........ Scary . Sys temp also when from 36deg to 38deg.
  
  Need to get a new CPU cooler for the CPU...... anyone have suggestion ...... Something from CoolerMaster would be good.

  The temperature are ok la, in fact still quite cool.Try stressing the cpu by running orthros prime or other cpu intense programme and gauging the temperature using Coretemp then you can decide whether you want an aftermarket cooler.

  It's only a 4 degrees rise on your core, no big deal. When I'm doing rendering in the office, I'll show you a 26 degree fluctuation. Anyway, if you think your core is hot, try touching your HDD.

  I also don't really believe that stupid thermometer that churns out the numbers, but I'm just telling here what I see.

  Aiyo...40+ degrees celcius only...this is not even near warm...
  
  My laptop Centrino Dothan usually runs at 50degrees at full speed and reaches 55degrees when doing intense work such as playing games

  Aiya he just want an aftermarket cooler la, different people have different threshold what they perceive as hot , for me even 60 degrees is ok want, the processor is made to withstand high temperature 24/7 they wun die so fast want lah.Anyway TS you may want to try the scythe Ninja plus CPU HSF, really good feedbacks about it, cost about 70+

  I scare because this is a new system...... less than a week old. Already have hang a few times using very little programs....... not even gaming .
  At 40+ deg for CPU will not be good for a stable system. Can't even install a game when PC have been running for an hour...... installition will hang half way ......... then system can't even reset or shutdown....... have to manually press reset button........ Not good for the long run of the system.

  Trust me 40+ is ok want If you want any cooler i suggest you go water cooling or even better phase change . My C2D desktop also have roughly the same temperature as yours but no problem leh i think you can try reinstalling your different drivers which may be the cause of your hanging

  Thxs..... non of my friends have a C2D sys..... so no one can tell me what is the temp like after an hour of use...... hopefully it is a winXP problem..... then just reformat everything lor..... test a few more day 1st. Thxs again.

  normal, me no core oso 60++, sometimes the CPU oso give warning sound for high temperature

  You can view the temperature via the BIOS or download programs like speedfan and everest

  Nitrous Oxide...Mine can hit 62 also...thats when I on a fan and blow...

  Hi.... as i am writing this..... Sys temp - 42deg. CPU temp - 34deg. Been surfing the net for about an hour.
  
  Bought 2x 8cm CoolerMaster fan. At 1st use them to draw air out...... sys temp when down but CPU temp when up.
  
  Now use the fan to draw air in...... as can see, CPU temp is at good level while Sys temp is up.
  
  To solve the problem..... Will connect one fan (the 1 facing the CPU) draw air in, one out (the 1 facing the Graphic card).....
  
  Hopeful will solve the Heat problem. Need not buy a new CPU cooler.

  Got 2 12cm fan..... one (front) air in...... other (rear) air out. But seems not enough. Add 2 more 8cm on the side panel. No fan on the side panel when Casing was bought.

  Nice if you want more powerful fans can get the delta 120mm fans, damn powerful and sucks lots of air but it sounds like a washing machine when in operation
