Video Edit Program

  Hi everybody,
  
  Which program is good to edit video/ movies?
  
  It should be able to edit MPEG-4 videos as well. (MPEG-4 like Xvid and DivX).
  
  As well as converting from one format to another format.
  
  Please recommend, and many thanks in advance for your kind help.

  my guess is that you need to pay for such stuff that allows you to convert from one format to another. unless you meant that after editing the specific video, there can be many formats of output.
  
  you might want to try standalones, like ULEAD.
