  could anyone quote the prices of the different types of rams i could get? preferably prices close to sim lim sq's. and any recommended brands will be welcomed. thanks.

  You can get the prices for not only random access memory but most other computer peripherals over at HWZ price guide downloads. I believe the prices are updated weekly. You can also use that as a reference when you intend to buy second hand or used modules.

  Don't be lazy and expect people to spoon feed you.GO HWZ dl their pricelist and compare.Brand wise i recommend you look for kingston or patriot RAMs
