help! my laptop stuck at loading my window profile

  i using my desktop now. but my laptop stuck at loading my profile.
  
  ok this is what happened. ytd i on my laptop, use for a while suddenly tio BSOD then it auto restart. so i used it after that went to bed. shut down properly.
  
  this morning when i want to on my laptop, i realised it stuck at loading profile. i go safemode, choose my profile also stuck. and my profile is the only profile in my laptop. so ya. then i went to using the previous working settings, also cannot go in. ccan someone teach me how to enter my profile? i havent back up a lot of work T_T

  latest update, i tried to log in with admin on safe mode also failed.
  
  btw i win xp sp2.
  
  edit can enter admin in safe mode but cannot switch user.

  Hmm... looks like your profile is corrupted.
  
  Since you can log on to admin, try creating another profile and see if you can copy the files from your previous profile to your new one.

  I just got a similar problem as TS...using Windows2000...last night had BSOD so I just shut down and sleep...this morning start up the computer...kenna stuck at detection of HDD(HDD0 detected) after BIOS bootup...no error msg shown...any idea how to solve?

  If you had managed to write down the BSOD error, it will be easier to solve.
  
  Without it, and you can't boot into Windows, you will have to reformat and see if it occurs again. If it occurs again, it's a hardware issue.

  That's my phobia of having the login page at windows startup. I'm very glad its not a default thingie.

  IF you need to click to select ur profile, next time when u boot up, press ctrl alt and del 2 times, then type administrator then log in leave password empty

  If you are able to log in to Windows, then back everything up before doing so.

  Arh i am not good with solving such problems on the software data level. If i have Xcert's lappie hdd and a 2.5" ext hdd enclosure mod case i can easily transfer all his precious data into another computer before he format or proceed with other forms of troubleshooting.

  usually goin safe mode and goin to the admin account sure can 1 ma...
  
  i guess ur 1 is gone case... cos i suspect sum malicious stuff are blocking your startup.

  chey i tot u say only profile in your laptop?
  if can u must thank god liao la... u go create another profile using admin acct... den transfer all the C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxxx to your new profile location lo. delete the old profile if u want after that.
  
  note xxxxxxxx is your acct name.

  HAve u installed language pack and typed in Chinese(PRC) in your laptop before ?

  The problem now is whether the user can log onto his/ her computer at all. If its possible to boot into windows or the OS with the administrator account just go to C drive and check out the user's account folder. All the files should be stale and ready for retrieval or transfer if they aren't password protected.
  
  Going from this point if he/ she cannot even log in as the admin then if the underlying problem is not hardware related, removing the harddisk and linking it up as an external unit to another computer can allow the similar task of data transfer too.
  
  I believe threads with the blue screen problem is not a debut here in this forums.
