Singnet VS Starhub - Bandwith Comparison (analysis)

  Actually it depends on the user.
  
  I've been abusing both for quite some time to say this...
  
  - Singnet takes fewer hops to reach destination (aka good latency)
  - Singnet has an overall high upload speed which is not likely to affect its download speed. Starhub will be bogged down once you maxed your upload, you will be snailing with your download.
  - Cable modem is more likely to be damaged by lightning than adsl modem.
  - Higher population density in your neighbourhood = lower bandwidth for starhub
  
  - Starhub has a general better download speed if you know how to tweak.
  - Starhub is generally more reliable as a host. (No once a month server reset)
  - Starhub plans are unlikely to become more expensive once contracts end

  BTW fluctuations above the normal limit is due to latency/response so for cable you're more likely to see fluctuations

  Did not have disconnections as regular as you though... I think throughout my 3 years using, I have less than 5 disconnections.

  Singnet to me ah, quite ok leh. Disconnected only twice throughout my Internet Life.

  TS is a computer noob, Who say Singnet cannot host game easily? Is you never port forward correctly
  
  For Starhub, My block at night lag like siao 1 and with router it lags even more. Now switched to Singnet 10mbps and its like I'm using wired connection, No lag unless I dling stuffs
  
  Connect to everything also faster liao
  
  Though there isn't much difference in speed when surfing net
