LCDs on notebook can also be replaced when pixels are dead or backlight are down. The same situation - pay the price and your notebook's back in action.

Please note that most laptop motherboards have their graphics integrated, meaning you have to change the whole motherboard to upgrade your graphics.
If warranty has not expire... you can risk it...
If Fujitsu discovers that you've in some ways void the warranty, means no free repairs.
