Anyway im stuck at home, kinda sucky..oh here some stuffs.
Did you guys read the newpaper article on the 231206, about the free laptop "free compaq presario notebook with maxonline ultimate/maxonline 12000"
It say, instead of the wireless " centrino-based intel pro/wireless lan adaptor, they installed the Broadcom wireless Lan adaptor"
May i know any big specifications different between them, like which one works better?

The compaq lappy is a promotion special model and is not the mainstream one.
The difference is the exclusion of Wireless A,no bluetooth and the lan chip like what TS stated...but its still a good lappy after all -

Wireless A has a maximum speed of 54Mbps, but it is using a frequency of 5GHz.
Wireless B has a maximum speed of 11Mbps, using a frequency of 2.4GHz.
Wireless G has a maximum speed of 54Mbps, using a frequency of 2.4GHz.
The laptop is able to use wireless all right.
Note that 2.4GHz frequency is used by lots of electronics like cordless phones, microwave, etc. If you are using a laptop near these devices, your wireless signal may suddenly drop.

I read you statement and i interpret it as:
centrino-based intel pro adaptor OR ANY wireless LAN adaptor, including Broadcom ones.
