  press ctrl+alt+del. The press networking tab. See Link speed,if you have 100mbps and beside it got write 5%, you're using 5mbps (5% of 100mbps)

  For those using 12000 MOL and higher,check if ur modem is DOCSIS 1.1 and higher.
  
  DOCSIS 1.0 modem = not compatible with faster than 6k speed.
  Change to 1.1 and higher first.
  You should be only getting around 6mbps due to hardware limitation

  Confirmed cannot. You can try click the 2nd link to check your modem can support or not.

  6000Mbps=6000 mega bits per second
  
  6000mbps=750mBps

  It's because you're connected to your router wirelessly. The maximum speed for wireless transfer is 54mbps, so if your connection between computer to router is healthy, it'll display 54mbps. It is not a true reflection of your network speed.
  
  Connecting to router via LAN cable shows 100mbps instead.
  
  To check your real speed, just look at your bill.

  1.0- 38 Mbps(downstream), 10 Mbps(upstream)
  2.0- 40 Mbps(downstream), 30 Mbps(upstream)
  3.0- 160 Mbps(downstream), 120 Mbps(upstream)

  In Windows Task Manager, the networking tab will show Local Area Connection, this is referring to the LAN port which looks similar to a telephone connector ( at the back of the CPU) but slightly larger in size, almost all computers today should have this.
  
  It will show either 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps depending on your Network Interface Connection (NIC) Card's type & speed settings. You can change your NIC card's speed setting in Device Manager.
  
  If you connect via USB, the computer will show another Local Area Connection, maybe Local Area Connection 2. USB Connections will also show different speeds, depending on the version of USB being used. USB version and speed is hardware dependent.
  
  The Local Area Connection/Local Area Connection 2 displays the connector's speed, which is the speed of the NIC Card or USB. It will not display the actual speed of your internet connection, it will only display the speed of the connection between the modem and your computer.
  
  Network Utilization rate depends on the software programs you are using and how much bandwidth they use.
