Unsure how to use infrared port

  Hi, just an update. i emailed hp about the notebook model and the infrared compatibility and they said:
  
  Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,
  
  Thank you for contacting HP Email support. My name is xxxxxxxxx and I will be assisting you regarding your Compaq Presario V3136TU Notebook PC.
  
  As per your email, I understand that you are looking for infrared feature with your notebook model.
  
  As the details provided are not enough to provide a complete and exact solution to your issue, therefore in order to help you resolve this issue, please provide me with the following information to find specifications for the particular product and to assist you better.
  
  1. 10/12 digit alphanumeric Serial Number of the notebook (like IN23412347/P123ktxz1234).
  2. 6 or 7 digit alphanumeric Product Number of the notebook (like D7489A).
  
  For your information, most of the newer notebooks does not come with infrared port as this technology is getting replaced by other features like Bluetooth and wireless LAN. These technologies are better in all respects as compared to infrared.
  
  Further, this is to inform you that quick start guide for Compaq Presario V3000 notebook series is same. That is why. Infrared feature is mentioned in this notebook manual.

  Might have to bring this up to CASE, since they don't deliver what they are expected.
  
  And Starhub can't give any crap reason that they could substitute a similar product in. Bluetooth and Infrared is not the same. Though they allow wireless transferring of files.

  If TS laptop got infrared port, Bios can enable.
  
  If don't have...nothin to enable.
  Any answer to the public who have complained to Newpaper on early dec?

  According to HWZ.Starhub replied an apology and that we can achieve similiar perfomance with the Boardcom chip.Bluetooth installation request was rejected.

  Ok...confirm don't have...this is what HP replied:
