problems ON'ing the comp

  Everyday when i on my comp for the first time for the day, i have to on it several times before it actually starts operating.. i mean when i switch on the ON button, there will be light on the CPU but the monitor isnt displaying anything..then I will need to on and off several times before the cpu actually really operates and the monitor starts showing something.. Any ideas to what the problem is?

  Wow, sounds like the keyless ignition feature on high performance cars. You need to tap the on button in the correct sequence and the engine roars to life.

  Loose connections in the CPU or something?
  
  It's quite hard to pinpoint the source of the problem. All I can say is that it's most likely a hardware problem... exactly which piece of hardware is beyond me.

  Your computer's sleeping.
  
  On a serious note, there might be some power problems. Either the battery is going to die soon, or some wires behind have gone loose. Make sure that they are plugged in properly.
