i tried to save a file in my thumb drive but it says th file is write-protected and cannot be saved
but i need to save it in the thumb drive
what must i do? -
save in C drive then copy over to thumb drive?

open the file
click on save as
then save in the thumb drive
if urgent then u try my method loh heehee -
right click on the document, and look at it's General properties, check if it's checked as read-only first ...

Close your file before copying anything over to your thumbdrive.
If not Mookie's method sure work. -
again got problem while trying to save my file in the hdd to my thumbdrive
mooku's method also cannot work already
it says "Word cannot save or creat this file. Make sure that the disk you want to save the file on is not full, write-protected, or damaged."

Read-only can't be edited, therefore it can't be saved (if you edit it)
Right click the file > Properties, untick the Read-only box.
Make sure the file is close before changing, otherwise it has no effects. You can then save it... -

i tried to save other documents into my thumbdrive, they are okay
only my thesis-related documents always got problem, why??? sob sob... -
