  I believe what you've seen is Photoshop Elements. It's S$115.00 and cheaper through student package.
  
  Photoshop CS2 stand alone is S$1,270.00.

  On a serious note you may want to ask yourself the depth and level of photo editing you are going into. There are many software out there usually with limitation and price.

  really? i just checked with a friend in canada who just bought it for US$120. So much cheaper or are there variations?

  I'm not sure what your friend bought, checked on US Apple website.
  None of the Adobe software fits the US$120 bill.

  Just enough for photos.. if u want fancy editing or designing its better to get CS2 or wait for 3...
