The answer to first question.
Those 2 drives need to be physically 1 drive. means that they are partitioned from a disk drive.
you will also need to know which one has system file.. preferable to delete the partion which has
NO SYSTEM FILES. or in other words, no Operating system(OS in short form).
lets say i want C: and D: merge. C: has OS and D: doesnt have. and D: has no important files
1. use a third partion prog like... partition magic.
2.
[VERY IMPT] do a boot disk using partition magic.( incase got boot failure)
3. use partition magic to delete D: drive... then the D: drive space will become raw space, then add space to C: from the raw patition. then, execute the actions. this will require you to restart com.
done.the method above will still keep your C: files
This is however, only virtually looks like its merged... but actually, in the new C: drive, you can see a small 8mb parted in between the space drive. in other words.. physically its not merged..
if you want to really full merge(w/o wasting the 8mb in between the c

, you have to reformat the whole com, delete the partitions.. and make as one. ALL data will be loss. unless... you backup an image of C: it( preferablly using norton ghost)then it load back to the reformatted drive
ALL the above : DO at your own risk
