I hardly hear of viruses on Mac, though I expect things to worsen sometime after mid of this year. As already, there are adwares on Macs. Very similar to Windows adwares.Originally posted by sand king:my comp works fine but my internet fking slow... i doubt my mac is infect with a virus...

That'll be the taiwan earthquake's problem. If the system itself is lagging, then it won't be the earthquake's fault.Originally posted by sand king:my comp works fine but my internet fking slow... i doubt my mac is infect with a virus...
oh ok thanks!Originally posted by chanff8:That'll be the taiwan earthquake's problem. If the system itself is lagging, then it won't be the earthquake's fault.
Anyway, regarding Mac, there are nearly zero viruses, maybe just one. Can't remember clearly, but I recalled that the virus-writer showed his frustration at writing it, and the most it does is showing a pop-up? There are a few malware but most of them requires the administrator's permission to install. Only one or two can bypass, but they are not widespread and are coded for testing purposes only.
In other words, you simply need common sense (for now) when it comes to the security of your Mac. Stay away from Norton security softwares for Mac.
