  yes and my client pc cannot find my wireless network

  okok it actually can find my wireless network but it says "acquiring network address" then fails there but it keeps on trying

  u must have typed the wrong access code then.. try retyping the WEP code and connect again..

  i saved it on a thumb drive and cut and paste onto the client pc

  you got set your router to give static IP or Dynamic ip?

  and also the client adapter is trying to connect to a network called "linksys" (the brand of my router) instead of the network name i wrote. all the other available network names have their own junk names written by their owners.
