Some doubts which i wish to clear.
1. Lets say my neighbour uses handphones which are compatible to this MIO system will they be able to cross and interfere or worse take over my connection if i am using my hp for internet calls at home?
2. They mentioned that should MIO voice is unavaliable then the normal fixed line will take over and normal charges apply. This way willor can they suddenly say no more MIO voice then force me to use fixed line?
3. I didn't use Singnet before so didn't know if it will keep dc or not. I know Starhub have no such problem.So lets say if i make internet calls either at home or in the designated hotspots, will i be affected by constant dc?
Finally are thereany MIO users here? Plee share your feedback.

One thing though i don't like about the mobile part of MIO. If they have packed the 100 mins as free incoming/ outgoing anytime i would have take the plan. Unlimited internet access at 3mbps, unlimited residential line calls and free caller ID with 500 sms all at the price of 68 is more than anyone can bargain for

Oh yar what is the conection speed of the Starhub broadband as compared to the Singnet broadband?

Singnet sucks.Go for Starhub.Better download speed.Basic MOL6k already twice of the 3mbps plan

You have any friends from sengkang with similar problems? I use starhub slow is slow but won't DC. hey.... mio plan got prob bittorrenting... i use 3mbps but bt max at 5 kb/s nia....
and its already portforwarded...
trying to fix it... but like cannot lehx....
use DMZ mode dl still bout the same....
plus download le like not complete one....
i figured it out le.. must set static ip... then faster hahax... forgot to do it... now dling fast! hehe! -
Mio has been out more than a month, any forumers like to feedback or share his/her experiences in using the MIO wireless modem?

3. Me using Singnet living in Serangoon North, I have to say there's no disconnections problems (with the exception of Taiwan earthquake, which kicked me out for quite a while). Wireless wise, not bad. Me using wireless.
I can't say for sure for other areas, but around my area, it's pretty stable. For more stability, you might want to use Netgear router. It's one of the most stable routers I've tested.

hmm.. can some1 tell me what is the model of the mio box? cuz i asked their customer svc officer. they say.. u have to get ur own wireless lan card if u have 2 or more comps.
so.. i wanna know what model is it.so i can buy compatible lan cards. I wonder if it's compatible to my d link usb wireless adaptor.
and they say installation is free. but e website differs. -

Slightly different from 2Wire 2700HG which is the MIO box lookalike
BTW i am a Singtel installer

Yes 2WIRE is the brand...
For Echo Sounds... Haiz currently we are unable to solve it...
