But hor.... I have been using the cable for the last two months without problem leh ... so could someone have change the IP address for the pc? err ... can the IP address be change ? and if can, how ha?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:No, it just won't connect to the Net.
Either someone is using a static IP address and you are using that IP address as well, or you are using static IP address and it is the same as another PC.
Set the router/modem to assign the IP address via DHCP, instead of manually assigning one.
but mine is not wireless leh ...Originally posted by mhcampboy:can it also means someone is tapping on the network??
IP address can be changed. It differs from model to model of routers/modems.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:But hor.... Most of the time, typing 192.168.1.1 to access the modem and change the settings over there.
It's likely that someone changed the IP address, or your modem has assigned 2 identical IP addresses to different machines.
Hi there. I tried but I cannot access 192.168.1.1. Is there any other address I can try ?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:IP address can be changed. It differs from model to model of routers/modems.
