How to cut videos?

  Hi guys!
  
  Can anyone please recommend me a freeware that can cut videos?
  I know of some that can cut but its some trial versions and it limits the amt of time it cuts.
  
  Can anyone please recommend me one that can allow cut and edit it easily? Thanks^-^

  Hmm... I'm trying to transfer some of my video tape that has valuable memories into my PC, and mean while i need to cut the videos too~ That's why...

  First let me introduce myself.
  
  I am Meat Pao.
  
  Get VirtualDubMod, which has some extra features than VirtualDub.
  
  And then download Avisynth, which is a very versatile program to work together with VirtualDubMod.
  
  You can do almost anything imaginable with Avisynth and VirtualDubMod.
  
  Of course, in order to read multiple file formats, I recommend you to also download FFDshow, a very powerful engine.
  
  But, if you are not interested in doing much editing, just want to cut videos and make smaller segments, VirtualDubMod is fine.

  I just want to cut off one part from a movie,I tried one called easy video splitter but the sound off syn.
