  Before proceeding on to the CD-ROM Guide link, answer a few questions first.
  
  1) What is the type of drive? Don't give CD/DVD. I know it's either a CD OR DVD, but is this a combo drive, a rewritable drive, etc. Full details. Like DVD Rewritable drive. If it's a combo drive, just write CD/DVD combo.
  
  2) If this drive can write CDs or DVDs, could you please tell us the software that you have installed for burning CDs or DVDs.
  
  Answer these 2 questions and we proceed from there.
