A WELL-INFORMED CHAP at the Hermit's Cave reckons chip giant Intel will announce another round of de-hirings this week.
As many as 1,000 people might go, said the source.
Intel's "annual sales meeting" happens this coming February and the mood is "sombre" the source reckons.
Intel was unavailable for comment at press time. So situation normal, then.

Word is that Intel will be announcing another round of lay offs this week with an additional 1000 workes. The mood since the beginning of the year has been somber and management has been extremely quiet as restructuging plans have continued report employees. With Intel's annual sales meeting taking place in early februaray and Q4 quarterly guidelines looming this week, it's likely that Intel will take additional action.
