i just called acer....
they told me aspire L310 comes in standard...and they dun provide upgrading of graphic card -
then do i stick to dell...they provide customisation....but i like the L310 leh...very slim....

Based on number 4, if you install the graphics card properly, it won't void. -

If you can message me your budget (in SGD$), I can advise you what to purchase for your new desktop.
You have to decided what you want to purchase too:
1. CPU set ( the casing and every else in the box)
2. LCD or CRT ( the monitor display)
3. Keyboard and mouse
4. Software like Microsoft Windows XP Home & Office 2007
If I want to purchase a new desktop, I will only need to buy the CPU set and the software for it. The monitor, keyboard and mouse can use the old ones.
The only type of desktop I will buy is D.I.Y ones, I will never consider branded desktops for home use. -

You gotta understand that not everyone is a power user(enthusiasts), especially when your DIY PC runs into problems and you can't troubleshoot it.Some people also don't want to run around different parts of Singapore to RMA their hardware parts.In this case, those branded PCs serves to provide an idiot-proof solution .Got problems just bring it to service centre -

The L310's quite a nice computer,somehow like Xbox 360 style and smaller than one as well.
Quite juicy parts inside.1GB RAM and C2D processors(i wonder why got one Pentium 4 version still selling nowadays :roll
Wireless keyboard and mouse's a plus as well for mobility purpose.
Only downside is the integrated GMA 3000 graphic card..should be able to play those games that dont demand too much graphic power though...
I dont think can add a graphic card since its integrated?Not sure here.
Edit: FYI Intel GMA's graphic memory is based on how much RAM is on the PC.512MB will deliver 128MB VRAM(subtracted from the RAM,of course)
So adding more RAM sticks might add more VRAM and enable dual channel,up to the max VRAM amount that is BIOS restricted(or might not at all if the max is 128MB) or up to the chipset's maximium which is 256MB) -
I just realized something, the form factor of the acer dosen't allow you to upgrade the graphics card as the bracket is simply not wide enough.You gotta get those low profile graphics card, which means low end ones. Mos i advice you not to get this acer as you will get headache if you wan to add things next time
