DVD rom problem

thanks ndmmxiaomayi for helping me in setting up my router..
now i got another problem.. my dvd rom cant read certain dvds.. like some of the games and movie i bought from jb.
but my dvd player can watch them..
my qn is.. is there anything got to do with my dvd rom region?(that's why i heard) and.. is the problem fix-able or should i get a new dvd rom instead? -
most probably dvd region. u set your dvd region already?
is the problem fix-able
apply dvd region.. cannot, try the dvdregion hack. But, must warn u.. may damage your drive -
Pirated videos just use Media Player Classic or VLC Player.
Those that are not pirated... you can try that also, but not every time work... -

hey mayu speaking about DVD how come it appears that my DVD-RAM cannot read the stock DVD rewritables discs(ROM,RW + , RW - etc)?
Eg a DVD-RW would display as a DVDROM and the filesize info would be zero,i also cannot xfer file to the disc drive to be burned.Clearing the data inside option also same result.BUT if i use a program called Sonic i can write data inside the disc though in a foreign format
Drive is Matshita DVD-RAM. -
oh ya.. my drive is a +RW. so maybe the discs are -R? is it possible?

Totally clueless as to what do they mean! Explanations in layman terms would be helpful... :p -
