hi, i've got a problem with firefox. it seems to me that ever since i added "sgwiki" into that quick search bar on the top right corner of the browser, i cant access any of my other search options (eg ebay, answers.com, wikipedia etc). any ideas on how to fix this? my version's 2.0.0.7.

Can't explain, I'll show screenshots instead
Click on drop-down error and select Manage Search Engines...
Then click on Restore Defaults and try adding sgwiki back. -
hmm, it kind of worked out with the default screen. im using the blackjapan add-on you see. the sgwiki search engine kinda conquered by search bar. haha. thanks!

Hi, i got a problem with firefox too. After i update version, the jre cannot be loaded on firefox already. i mean those textbox for you to enter your info when you load up the internet banking page. I've enabled the java and javascript in the tools options already but it doesn't work. I have no problem with it in my IE browser. My firefox version is 2.0.0.7.

Update Java. The latest version is Java Runtime Environment (JRE 6u3). Oh.. the update say not compatible with my os. i'm lazy to update my windows. Guess i'll use the IE browser to log in iBank instead. Thanks for the help.

Java is not Windows and is not part of Windows. It's a third party program. Java is a type of programming language. And to run Java files embedded on websites in banks, you need Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

Haha I mean i'm currently using windows xp pro sp1. That jre 6u3 installation says its not compatible.

One other thing, to edit settings in Firefox especially those JS files, always run as Administrator. Otherwise, it will prompt and say that a file doesn't exist.
That's for Vista. Doesn't affect other OS. -

Everytime i view pictures that are too large, firefox will ''cut'' the picture so that the picture fits into the window. How can i make it so that i'll be able to scroll to the right when the picture is too big?

Roll over to the picture. You will see a magnifying glass. Just click on that. It will enlarge.

And for goodness sake, those pictures are shrunk for a reason. You have to click on them, which brings you to another page for the bigger picture.
Otherwise, your Internet speed will lag like siao. -

can you see the difference when i view large picture between IE and FF?
IE will allow me to scroll to the right to see the whole picture but FF will just 'cut' the picture so that it fits nicely. -
Oh... that's a problem with Firefox since version 2.0. There's a fix somewhere, but I've forgotten where is it. It involves changing some values in the about:config menu.

Quick and good tip for FF users; don't have to necessary delete IE to 'savespace' even if you installed FF 'cause IE is already in your com regardless you delete it or not.

Running 2 different versions of Firefox
For the bored... really. Those who wants to use FF2 and wants FF3 for testing, you will definitely need more than one profile, otherwise, it will start crashing.
1. Close all Firefox windows.
2. Click on Start > Run. Copy and paste the following in: firefox.exe -ProfileManager
3. A new window will open. Click on Create Profile. Follow through and you're done. Remember your profile name, because you need it.
4. Start your Firefox this way:
a. Click on Start > Run.
b. Type in the following: path to your Firefox -P Profile_Name -no-remote and press Enter. You should be prompted to select a profile, select the one you want and start it.
Path to your Firefox - By default, it's in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
Profile_Name - if you want to start the default, it will be named default. Otherwise, it's the one you created earlier.
Here's mine, running both Beta and stable versions:

works for most people, didn work for me too. Worth a try -
