I think you should already know this but there is no way (or very little ways) to improve your upload speed.
Because for singnet user, if you are using:1) 512kbps plan - you only have a upload speed of up to 256kbps (which is est. 32KB/s).
2) 1500kbps/3.5mbps plan - you only have a upload speed of up to 350kbps (which is est. 44KB/s).
3) 5000kbps/5mbps plan - you only have a upload speed of up to 512kbps (which is est. 64KB/s).
4) 10mbps plan - you only have a upload speed of up to 1mbps (which is est. 125KB/s).
5) 25mbps plan - you only have a upload speed of up to 1mbps (which is est. 125KB/s).
For starhub user, if you are using:1) MaxOnline Ultimate (100mbps) - you only have upload speed of up to 2mbps* (est. 250KB/s).
2) MaxOnline Premium (12mbps) - you only have upload speed of up to 384kbps (est. 48KB/s).
3) MaxOnline Express/ MaxOnline FlexiSurf Express (6mbps) - you only have upload speed of up to 256kbps (est. 32KB/s).
Note: Figures taken from singnet/starhub website itself. For how to convert from kbps to KB/s, use the figure of the kbps and divide by 8 (its should be 8.xxxx, rounded down for easier calculation) and you will obtain the est. figure in KB/s.
Upload speed is capped by the service provider, no matter what you do you will not go over the upload speed stated above. In some case the server where you are uploading to itself capped the upload speed (E.g. 50KB/s), thus you will only be able to upload at the speed of 50KB/s to that server even though you are allow to upload at a higher rate specified by your service provider.
*this upload speed only when you are using 100Mbps-ready cable modem (DOCSIS 3.0) and only at certain websites.---------------------------------------------------------------
My advice? Use LAN connection to transfer file if the computers are near. If not, use thumb drive/MP3 players or other possible external storage devices.
