Logging off after signing into XP account?

  as in -.- i tried to use the XP CD to reformat my computer
  
  now its at the Account login screen, but if i choose one, it loads, then logs out almost immediately -.-

  Has XP been installed properly?
  
  If yes, it shouldn't performing this way.
  
  Or are you at the screen that asks you to enter some users?
