Does Warcraft version affects?

  Currently i have a different version(lastest 1.21) of Warcraft III, does this disallows me to detect my fren's game (when his ver is 1.20C) using Hamachi?
  
  Just wondering, because i have a friend whose version is 1.20D and still able to join 1.20C.
  
  And it appears that before i update (when i was using 1.20D) i'm still able to join his game, however, once i updated to 1.21 i cannot play with him le.
  
  So checking if version affects? Otherwise i'll look into other areas why i can't join his game..

  i also have same problem with u ...so i think its not just only me ^^

  do u still keep some original copies of war3.exe? if not u can get from http://www.penguin-inn.com/blog/2006/06/25/warcraft-3-frozen-throne-original-war3exe/
  
  replace the war3.exe with the cracked one, den update.
  note: 1.20e battlenet no cd crack works in 1.21

  below is guide for people who want to update their warcraft but then cannot update due to registry problems
  
  must update your registry
  
  type start>run>regedit
  go to:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III
  make a new string call "InstallPath", den at the data coloumn, paste your warcraft directory (eg. m:\my folders\warcraftIII)
  
  lastly, update it using battlenet or download the update from the site, and install
