can't play real video

  downloaded drama thru bit torrent with diff episodes...
  previously downloaded files in format of real video had no problems of palying in real player n wmv,but i juz downloaded a couple of new episodes.but to my horror,can't play!!no reaction or wat so ever frm the player,not even a error msg..
  can any1 tell me what's the problem?i wanna watch my videos..downloaded for days..ps,tried VLC player,also cannot

  Which format of real video is it in? ra? rm? rmvb?

  all in realaudio/real video VBR

  Oh that explains, that is one particular format I try to keep away from. Sorry I dunno what your problem is.

  It is your luck that I have met you.
  
  Since it is in VBR, it is in RMVB format.
  
  You can use 'Real Alternative' package.
  
  Just replace your old Real package with Real Alternative.
  
  For future uses, if you really want to avoid any codec problems, I recommend to download 'K-Lite Mega Codec Pack'. There you will find almost all codecs, including a very powerful engine which can open them all, FFDShow.
