Bittorent problem

How come I am Singnet 10mbps plan
I run bittorent with the top torrent file, the seed is about 300 to 600
But my speed always ranges from 0kb to 2kb? -
If you're behind a router, the most probable reason is because you never open the ports that you could specify in your bittorrent to look at.
Another could be you're so stingy, you've set uploads to 0kb or a misery 2kb. -
so any chance that u knoe the way to setup this ports?

Yes, usually you type in your main ip address into your internet browser and you can access your router config. Then look for a nat forwarding thingie, where you can specify which ports for udp, tdp kind of thing. Match the numbers with the one on your bt client.
But opening ports not necessarily will speed up your d/l. You can have 5000 seeders and 6000 leechers and your speed will still be like fcuk one. Take last night for example, I was d/ling Confession of Pain, there were only 20 seeders and I could tap only 8 on my open ports. But I was so lucky one of the seeds was throwing me 100kb/s constant, and the 700mb movie was done in like 3 hours, otherwise 2 full weeks.
I would recommend you increase your upload, occasionally you get a slight boost. But of course it might be an obstacle to your downstream. And when you surf the net while your bittorrent is running, I recommend you don't load pages which are pic intensive, all the bandwidth will go directly to loading your webpages as priority.
Overall, takes a bit of luck lar. -

best is close any firewall, redirect all traffic to one computer and maximise ur upload speed, and set a random port for ur bittorrent client.
ya i noe security issues and crap but with some web surfing common sense, regular spyware, virus scans and patches updated, its still relatively safe, i think. -
i oso have the same problem..at 1st i thought was becoz the source was slow in nature or wat..but some how juz now i saw my drama serial DL speed is like 199kbps,juz now reached a high of 300!!woo..!btw,i didn't do the open port thing u ppl posted..maybe will look into that later

Sometimes must really see luck one. Like last night I was d/ling confession of pain, slow 2-5kb/s finish only 4% for the past 3 days then suddenly constant 100kb/s and finish it off in under 3 hours. I was like woah.

If you want to download a file, sometimes it is useful to search it first on websites, so that you can download from a website and not through P2P like Bittorent.
It can save you plenty of time.

Singnet 10mbps allows a upload speed up to 1mbps.
If so, set your upload speed in your bittorrent program to 120KB/s will do.
Yea, 120KB/s is not your maximum upload speed but remember you got to leave some out for other internet application like surfing the web and so on.
