  the viruses in the corrupted files goes into your computer system in the process of downloading.
  
  Thus it is no use trying to scan the file after you finished download.
  
  Luckily for my norton, or my comp would be infected with trojan right now.

  Yes. It's a clean P2P program, but what you download is not guaranteed to be.
  
  Remember, you are sharing files. The person who shared the file with you may have his/her files infected without them knowing and you may have unknowingly download viruses while sharing files with him/her.
  
  Another thing is that viruses can spread via P2P very fast, due to the number of people connecting to a network on any day, any time. It's numbered by the millions, the chances are very high.

  You are contradicting yourself. You say all P2P will kena virus some day, yet you say Bittorrent is the safest.

  Yup. But if you are unsure, you can use multiple scanners.
  
  Jotti and Virus Total are two sites that I frequently to scan single files with multiple scanners, to be sure that there are no harmful files.

  at least, when i download the torrent from certain website, at least, their tracker is safe, and furthermore, if i go and download p o r n, chances of me, kenna virus is high
  
  i don't trust search engine like ares or others, simple as that

  It's good when you suspect that the file is infected with virus or is unsure if the file is infected.

  Between safest and not getting any virus, it's very misleading.
  
  Bittorrent is not safest, so do all P2P programs. I will never recommend anyone to use P2P programs unless necessary or if P2P is being used the right way - that is to share files among your known circle of friends or if your work is under GNU/CC license.

  i think in my years of being an end user of a p2p user, and have kenna virus numerous times, bearshare has cause me alot of problem that cause me to reformat my hard disk a couple of time
  
  and few years ago, i started to learn about bittorrent
  
  and i feel that torrent is the safest among all the p2p engine
