I am aware that certain processes running in the computer can be disabled to reduce memory usage.
Is there a program that can close the useless processes in order to quicken the computer?
Having 1 gig or ram is enough for most applications plus those unwanted applications working in the background. 256 is history and 512 is just enough for XP.
Go to snapfiles.com and find a program called Starter. It helps you to manage your startup programs.
