How to make DVD Video?

  I got an avi file which is only 900mb, but when I add the file into Nero Burner, the file size automatic increase to 4000mb, how come?
  
  Eventhough 1 DVD got 4.7GB space, but it's kind of waste.
  
  I was wonder how can I squeeze 4 X 900mb avi files into 1 DVD but readable in normal DVD Player?

  You mean the avi format file is not your file.

  cos dvd videos uses mpeg 2 formats, which takes up a hell lot of space, bo pian 1...
  
  my advice is, split to half lo using windows movie maker to wmv, as the quality would almost be the same and lesser frame rate, making it consuming lesser space.

  What is the file format that Nero is trying to output? Is it MPEG-2 or MPEG-4?
  
  Is it possible to write something other than these MPEG formats?
  
  DVD can be written any data right?
  
  I dont know much about burning.
