Lotus Notes error

  Anyone know what does the below error msg mean?? i am using Lotus notes on my laptop in office and home, but the last few days i cannot receive my email at home.. always showing this error..... my IT dept dunno what happened as it's fine in office.. and as usual they think it's the user problem.. knn... fcuk them....only this few days then got this problem and my company server got some problem this few days too.. but they die die deny any link with it... anyone can help?? 4 days of holiday.. i dun wish to go back office to check email ar..... thanks.

  huh? what tat mean?? usually is in office i of coz have to log on to the company network first... but at home.. i got no problem with my email last time.. only this few days lor... but this few days... company intranet got some problem too..

  Try this:
  
  Go to Start > Run and type in cmd
  
  Ping your the server you are trying to connect to. Note down the IP address.
  
  Go to Start > Run and type this:
  
  notepad C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
  
  Add in this line:
  
  Server IP address name of website
  
  An example
  
  64.22.86.75 tech.sgforums.com
  
  If this fails, I can't help anymore. I barely know of anyone using Lotus Notes and I have never touch Lotus Notes before.
  
  Some others who are using Lotus Notes can help.
  
  Try this tool as well. It might work. But don't ask me how this tool work. I have no Lotus Notes.

  i know IE 7 cannot use with webmail now.. always ask u to key in ur password again.. and knn.. i ask my IT dept how.. they told mi to downgrade to IE 6 lor...

  ping server name
  
  Like ping tech.sgforums.com
  
  It will send 4 packets to the server and IP address will be shown. If you use firewall, allow the ping to get past.
  
  Otherwise, can try nslookup
  
  For example, nslookup tech.sgforums.com
