i downloaded a file called devil may cry 3 from a website and the password for the rar file is weird combination of pound symbol, japan yen symbol and some funny symbol.I tried to copy and paste it ,it cant work. Is there any ways for the winrar to accept such password?
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map.
Click on the correct character, select Copy. Go back to the RAR file, and select Paste.
do what mayi tell u to do first, secondly, the password may be chinese, jap, thai, or whatever asian language.
your computer doesn't support it atm thats why u are seeing funny stuffs. u need to enable asian language pack, and set your environment as (for example, if the pw is in chinese) chinese.
den u will see the real password. then u can paste on the zip file password field.
ps: copy and paste doesn't work cos the data(which is password) is NOT unicoded.
