Strange Explorer Crashes

  recently hor.. when i open alot of chinese named folders explorer.exe will crash.
  
  and hor.. the process didn't end.
  
  i can still open start menu.
  
  but i can't go to windows explorer.
  
  other den dat like nothing happened.
  
  and i've got to end the process manually den restart it.
  
  very troublesome.
  
  any ideas why?

  problem solved. the system language was causing it the crash so i change back to English (American).
  
  but even den i wld wanna noe why. especially when i set it to chinese and chinese named folders had problems.. doesn't make sense.

  Might be because Windows was originally installed in English (US).
  
  You probably will need it to be installed in Chinese as the US version of Windows and Chinese version of Windows differs slightly.

  i think maybe gt winodws update screw things up.

  I only know of one update that will screw it up - Daylight Savings Time update.
  
  Because of changes in US laws. If your OS is screwed up in any way, look for an update called 928388 or 931836 under Updates for Windows in Add/Remove Programs

  If you have Microsoft Outlook as well, look for 931667 under Office Updates.

  Because Chinese have no need for DST if I'm not wrong, so this update sort of screw it up as it changes some things in registry for the different time zone.
