I'm currently into playing this game, Pro Evolution Soccer 6, and I realised my computer is getting very laggy.
Here are the specs of my comp:
Intel Pentium 4
2.40 GHz
256MB RAM
Total Disc capacity: 48.8GB
Used: 14.9GB
FreeL 33.8GB
What should I upgrade in my comp to solve the problem of lagginess? Anyway, this comp is near 5 years old soon and I used to play maple in the past for long hours at once like 15 hours at one go. May I know if my past habit of using the computer for long long hours have already damaged the computer's harddisk? -

256MB of RAM is not enough.
You need 512MB at the very least. 1GB recommended. -

Will increasing the RAM sure to solve the problem? I fear that the lag is because of some hardware failure because of my long hours of gaming in the past. =/

But the bottom line is that 256MB of RAM is not enough in this day and age.
I upgraded my laptop's RAM from 256MB to 1.2GB, and it's now much, much faster. -

Anyway. what's the rough cost of a 256MB and 1GB RAM? -
my graphics card seems to be overheated after 1 hour plus of playing games.. ibought an external cooler, but after 1 month it doesn't seem to work anymore and i'll start having severe lag spikes again.
anyway to solve? -
I changed my graphic card once because it was damaged, and shortly after changing of graphic card, I stopped gaming because of school committments. Nowadays, I hardly game, only play my PES6 occasionally, but the lag spoils the fun, makes me sian of playing the game.

I having the same problem like you. It is not Ram problem. Is the overheat.. Try to open one side of your casing.. if still cannot, add in a cooler..

According to Actiion Trip, the minimum requirement is 256MB of RAM, a Pentium 3 and 1.5GB of hard disk space left.
Your computer just met the minimum requirements. The game is expected to work properly at this spec, but not without lagging.
I suggest you add more RAM.
If it's still lagging, try defragging your hard disk. -

Above is the game's recommend requirements.
Anything below than the recommended can still be played. But will be laggy or slow.
U really need to increase ur ram. -

Use CPU-Z to determine the type of RAM.
Also, will need your motherboard's model.
CPU-Z will tell you the motherboard's model as well. -
