1. those fairs laptop variety big anot?
2. their laptops outdated?
3. their prices cheaper than normal?
4. u get on-site or pay deposit get later?

normally 3 year warrenty, can repair within the school, has pre-loaded software
BAD: not cheap. (maybe due to warrenty?), slight outdated. (laptop for school work, not gaming leh...)
and up to your brand preferences -
is it wise to buy from these fairs?

eh, SP one last year they sell really cheap compared to other polys(excluding.. republic i think).. about 150 off from normal price... another one i heard is NTU.. cheap also...

All laptop are new and update..Mostly likely u will get the vista vision.... It good to buy in ploy fair as the price are at least 30% different form other retailers....

onething.. if u plan to pay by using nets, have in mind that they only can zap 2k from it.. cos the limit of zapping nets is 2k/day..
so if your laptop cost more than 2k, bring some extra cash with u.. -

2. Not really outdated, but may not be up to your expectations.
3. Yes.
4. Depending on the school itself. If you pay by cash/cheque and in full, you can bring home the laptop immediately. Unless you want them to configure something (softwares related to school). -

Even with 3 years warranty, it's still cheaper. -

Softwares most likely newer also. RP new batch of students use Visual Studio.NET 2005, one batch earlier use 2003.
