Recovery Disc saved my notebook..

yesterday evening i install vista to my 8mths old vaio notebook.. everything was fine until i tested some of my notebook function..
1) the built in webcam not working..
2) cannot adjust the volume n brightness of the screen when using the Fn key..
3) built in bluetooth device cannot b off
but lucky i have my Recovery Disc with me.. so i revert my lovely vaio back to xp..
i dont push all the blames to windows vista..
i blame sony..
1) they dont provide vista upgrade tools for laptop brought b4 26th oct last year..
2) they dont provide links for ppl like me to download the drivers
any vaio user encounter this problems like me?

Eh... how you revert back to XP? As far as I know, this is nearly impossible without destroying your hard disk first.
Anyway, for Vista, one thing to note, lots of drivers are not present. Those function keys to increase/decrease brightness, increase/decrease volume are some other drivers that come with the notebook, without these drivers, they won't work.
Webcam also need drivers, so does your Bluetooth...
Not that they don't work, is no drivers for them presently. -

Manufacturers still do provide recovery discs, but nowadays at the minimum. Maybe you will find one driver missing here and there, requiring you to go online to download to get your computer working. -
