  If you notice that the particular person doesn't sign in for 5 years, you know that you're blocked.

  This doesn't work anymore. Microsoft have patched up this hole.
  
  When you block people, they won't know. Most of those check tools aren't reliable now, as I've said, Microsoft has patched up their Messengers.
  
  If someone has blocked you, their MSN status will be offline.

  theres a way to check if the person has deleted your name in contacts...and it is right on the tools, options panel.

  Please, all those tools are useless. I repeat one more time:
  
  Microsoft has patched up this programming error in all their Messenger programs. You can no longer check whether someone has blocked you or what is their status.
  
  The only way to bypass is to use an older version of Messenger or MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger alternatives.
