What's Wrong With My Mouse?

At times, the cursor will hang about 0.5 to 2 seconds.
Cannot move at all. Been like this for few days now....

look at task manager and see if system is lagging
if not then it's time to get a new mouse -

Me also got the same issue...
The mouse will lag for about a few seconds before been able to move again...
Mine's an optical mouse, but maybe because it's old liao... Some wear and tear signs on the reflector and cable liao since using from 2000 till now....

If you spend less than 2 hours with your computer, the estimated lifespan is high. I've got a mouse which lasted me 5 years when I was too busy with studies to use the computer.
In most of these cases, a USB mouse spoils faster than PS/2 mouse, I have no idea why. It could be the speed, as a USB technology is faster than PS/2 technology.
Wear and tear is one reason why a mouse can't last long. Those who mistreats their mouse (like banging it when it's not working), will not get it to last long either. -

Yeah... lagging means that. Also I noticed some people like to slam their mouse against the pad,could that be the cause of it

but when i use keyboard... it still works...
end up... dunno wad to do.. i just turn off the main plug...

Try changing battery. If it doesn't work, might need to change a mouse. -

then low batt.. i change to optical...
now this optical giving problems.... sometimes will lag... like just now..lag so much until i got to turn off the comp... cos i tried to logout manually and sigh in to a diffrent acct... same thing...cursor wont move...
