Windows Vista Upgrade Work-around Enquiry

  Hi, i have a Home Premium Upgrade disc with me and i decided to follow the work-around such that my XP key wont be void.Now i just finished installing Vista(w/o cd key,30 day trial).
  
  The website guiding me said that i should run the install program from Vista.This is where im confused,is it telling me to run it from a program in Vista(Window Anytime Upgrade??) or run the Vista Upgrade CD again?

  yo... after installing the trial for windows vista... insert your upgrade dics again.
  and install it with the key.
  
  if it doesn't work, the copy of upgrade disc might have fixed

  Yes,it dosent work...half way thru the installlation the PC booted to Vista and it told me that the installation failed.
  So that means i've no choice but to void my XP key?

  Can try this if you are using the upgrade and already has installed it.
  
  If you still have the recovery discs with you, use your manufacturer's recovery discs. They will delete the current partition and format everything.

  For recovery discs, everything should be auto. If not, use keep pressing the enter key.

  Hi, today it just happened that when i booted my pc,i didnt select the Vista option at the OS loader and instead went to the Vista install program,then the installation continued from the point that it say unable to install...might be a stroke of luck....

  Delete off Vista, install XP. If you can install XP successfully, that means it's a success.
