After so long... manufacturers finally wake up. DRM is here to stay, but developers are working to improve it. In the past, music downloaded from Apple can only be played on iTunes and iPod, but this will change. They hope to improve the DRM to cover more media players.

slowly slowly.. there are legal battles about it right now..
i think it's dumb.. i buy music which plays on the zune, and if that dies, i can't play the track on the iPod..
and all the time, those no-brand ones play everything -

As long as MS is still around, DRM will live. In one form or another...... It is too good a control to let go....... damn those greedy companies
