Experiencing "freezing" in Messenger

Hello, i'm having some problem with my Windows Live Messenger.
It seems that whenever i go online and do try to do anything (eg. start/receive a conversatio), it will "freeze". Sometimes, after a short freeze it will resume as normal but this happens frequently (every few mins). And most of the times the program ends up 'not responding'.
Any help is much appreciated.

when u open WLM window, it just sort of freezes or hang
but the most troublesome part is that after typing some msgs, it says cannot send to recipient, or too many messages sent within one min

If you are using Windows Live Messenger Plus, take a look at this:

1. tried reinstall?
2. how long has this problem occured?
3. installed flash player?
4. when u say crashes when do anything do u mean.... really anything?.. (eg go to options, go alert tab, go, view contact crad..
5. crashes when staring convo with contacts or only some specific contacts -

like when login, lag like hell, and when its in taskbar and i double clicked it, oso must wait...

You mentioned that it happens every few minutes.
Does it happens when you are in a conversation?
What are your system specs, especially RAM? If it's below 512MB, don't bother much. It's just WLM sucking up resources. -
Seems to happen to me once in a while when Msn messenger just logged in(and started) and the Windows plaform has just loaded.Lasted a few secs only.

How many processes are running inside task manager?
There could be some processes running which are simply not needed at all and are sucking up performance power from your pc.

Use it to check what processes are set to run at start-up on your machine. How many are there? I'm interested to know. -
Since when CCleaner lists out the number of processes running?
Do you know what you are doing?

happens to me quite often......esp when low ram....
sometimes it resumes, sometimes it does not, sometimes it says got error and must close prog -

But do you know MS lists it out for you as well, without the use of third-party apps?
