future computers?

waiting for a day when normal desktops have built in AI and feedback system.
They will be able feel and think like a human. when they know they got virus, they will automatically go internet and search for cures ect..ect -

no la.. cos this afternoon i keep finding something amiss.. what are computers for?why i feel no life when i spend long hours on it. then something pop into my mind that they lack of AI and feedback.. which can interact more with humans like robots.Originally posted by allentyb:you watch too much AI movie already

that idea is not new, nor may that be that far away ... IBM has something called "autonomous computing" in the works right now ... -
not the AI part of course ... AI tech is still at a very primitive stage right now ... we're (to quote a former prof) ... at least 500 years away from the movie ... -
AI is still a very new technology. Not to say that it's entirely impossible, but it's still far-fetched as of now.
I remember reading a PC Magazine that a future PC should do like what you describe, you got the idea from there? -

I think the south koreans are drawing up a code of ethics for human-robots interaction ....
it was in the news like only last week or so ... -
