Wireless Modem

Hi, I'm getting a laptop soon but i don't have a wireless modem at home. Can someone recommend me which brand to get and roughly how much it costs? Thanks

subscribe to a broadband service first.... they give you free modem.
or use the M1 USB modem, can surf anywhere in Singapore. -

I have a broadband connection already. Singnet 1Mbps Unlimited. But they don't give the Wireless Modem they give normal modem only. Thats why i think it will be better for me to purchase one right?

If you are going to set up a home network, then you will need to buy one. Seriously, I think by and large, most of these products are not very different, but of course, I am not very fussy.

Cable? Very troublesome isn't it? My laptop in my room. My desktop in the living room.
Which brand of wireless modem you would recommend me? Looking for one below $100. -

Seriously, I think by and large, most of these products are not very different, but of course, I am not very fussy.
But I would agree with you, once you go wireless, no more turning back! I'm very happy with my home setup now.

Currently, I'm using 3Com. I wouldn't recommend Linksys... quite a few problems. Netgear is good. One of the most stable wireless routers around. Ya, The difference is $5. Contract 24 months. I would save $120. Than i can use that $120 to get a wireless modem. Is it very difficult to install the wireless modem and set up?

Whats the IP address for? I still don't know which to get(wireless modem/router). Getting my laptop by end of this month. Fujitsu E8210.
